The following instructions will help you configure the AP+4 Wireless-G router with a Cable or DSL bridge modem.
- Connect an Ethernet cable from your cable modem to the WAN port on the back of the Zoom AP+4
- Connect another Ethernet cable from any of the four LAN ports on the back of the AP+4 to your PC
- Open your Web Browser (i.e. Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc). Delete the address in the Address Bar and type http://10.0.0.200 and press Enter. You will then be logged into the AP+4.
- Click on Setup Wizard on the left pane.
- Click on Next to Start the wizard and select Router/AP., click Next
- Time Zone is Optional so you can skip this step and click Next
- On the LAN Interface Setup you do not need change anything, so click Next
- Set the WAN Access Type to DHCP Client, click Next
- On the Configuring the Wireless Network you do not need change anything, so click Next
- Encryption is Optional, but I recommend WPA (TKIP). Create a password in the Pre-Shared Key. It has to be 8 or more characters. You can now click on the Finished button, then OK.
- At this point you will have to power down your modem and router. First power down your cable modem and then the AP+4 router. Leave them off for about 20 seconds.
- Now turn on the cable modem and let the modem sync with the ISP and go to a ready state.
- At this point you can power the Zoom AP+4 router and wait for all the lights to go solid.
- You will have to log back into the http://10.0.0.200 page and click on Status. Locate WAN Configuration and verify you are getting an IP Address. If so, you are now connected to the Internet. Otherwise, you might have to start the Setup wizard from the beginning.
