Model 5341/5341J/5370/5345: Unable to locate Wireless Network information to connect a wireless device

Question: I am unable to locate the wireless network name and security key for my Zoom Cable Modem Model 5341, 5341J, 5370, or 5345. Where do I locate my Wireless Network information?

Answer: The Cable Modem Model 5341, 5341J, 5370, 5345 does not come with built-in wireless capabilities. These modems are called Bridge Modems which requires a wired connection using an Ethernet cord at all times. However you can attach a standalone router to access a wireless network.

1. Attach standalone router to cable modem by connecting an Ethernet cord to the modem and router.

2. Reboot the modem and the router. To do this power off both modem and WiFi Router for at least 10 seconds.

3. Power the modem on first, and give it about one minute to boot

4. Once modem is booted on, turn on the WiFi Router. When both the Modem and WiFi Router are powered on, you should have WiFi connection available for internet.
