How do I manaully setup my Zoom ADSL modem without the CD?  How do I access the modem's Web interface?

NOTE: This FAQ will will work for any Zoom ADSL Router.  Models X3, X4, X5, and X6

To access the modem's built-in Web Console for Setup, Adjustments, and Advanced Features follow these steps:

1. First make sure the modem is connected to your existing ethernet network adapter in the computer by using the supplied ethernet cable.  Additionally your network adapter TCP/IP settings on your computer should be set to automatically receive an IP address.
2. Next, open a browser window on the computer and enter the following address.  http://10.0.0.2
3. You will be prompted with a Login box.  the Username = admin, and the Password = zoomadsl (ZOOMADSL in all lowercase letters)
4. Finally, press enter to access the modem's web console pages.  The Basic Setup page will be displayed.  From this page you can enter your ISP specific connection information.
