These instructions may vary slightly depending on the model of your MOTO Q, your firmware version, and service provider. These instructions assume that you have a service contract that supports tethering. Please consult your MOTO Q user manual for more information.
- You need to change the USB device type to Modem. Depending on your model to do this select either:
For the MOTO Q Global with Windows Mobile 6.1:
From the Standby screen select Start à All Programs à Settings à More àConnections à USB Device Type
For other models:
From the Standby screen select Start à More à More à System Tools àSettingsà More à Connections à USB Device Type
- Next, Press the right navigation key to select Modem.
- Press Done
For most carriers you will need to set up your APN information in the router. To do this first enter the router Configuration Manager, then select Basic Settings à Basic Setup. On the Basic Setup page, enter the APN settings for your provider. If you don't know the APN settings please contact your provider or , for settings for many of the most popular wireless providers.
For example, if you are using your Moto Q with AT&T, use the following settings for the items shown:
