What is required for the Modem-on-Hold feature of the V.92 modem to function?

The Modem-on-Hold feature of your V.92 modem requires 3 elements in order to operate properly:

Call waiting or call waiting "plus" service on your phone line.
An Internet Service Provider (ISP) or online service offering V.92 with Modem-on-Hold. You may want to check with your ISP or online service to be certain that they have upgraded to the new V.92 standard and offer it with the Modem-on-Hold feature.
The NetWaiting Modem-on-Hold application must be enabled on your computer. This application is installed along with the modem driver. When you turn your computer back on after installing your modem software and hardware, you will see NetWaiting's yellow telephone icon in your computer's system tray. (If you do not see it, from the desktop go to START > PROGRAMS > NETWAITING, and then select NETWAITING to display the icon.)
