First, assign an IP address to your XBOX360
If you want your XBox 360 to connect to XBox Live, your modem must know what IP address your XBox 360 is using. Since you don't want this IP address to change, we suggest using Fixed DHCP Mapping as described below:
- Open your Web Browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc) and type http://192.168.1.1 into the address bar, press enter. The router Configuration Manager will prompt you for a Username and Password:
- Username: admin
- Password: zoomadsl
Tip: To find the MAC address of your device go to STATUS -> DHCP in the router Configuration Manager. This page shows you a list of all devices connected to your router as well as their MAC addresses and Host Names. By default your XBox 360 Host Name is blank.
Next, you have to disable UPnP and setup a DMZ for the XBox 360.
- While still in the router Configuration Manager, click on Advanced Setup -> LAN
- Uncheck the box labeled Enable UPnP
- Click Save/Reboot
- Now you need to setup DMZ for the assigned IP address of the Xbox. To do this click on NAT/DMZ Host
Put the IP address assigned to the Xbox.
Click Save/Apply.
Congratulation, you should now be connected to Xbox Live
