When I go into VideoLink software to test the ZoomCam, I get error about “multiple quartz capture devices” and there is no image. What should I do?

You must follow the procedure below for deleting the video drivers and removing the Zoom Video Cam entry from Device Manager. You can do this by going to the Explorer and doing the following:

1. In the Windows directory delete the following files: "aecacb.dll and rvcdrv.ini."

2. In Windows/System directory delete the following: "aecacb.ini, rvc16.drv and rvc32.drv"

3. Remove the Zoom Video Cam from Device Manager and if using the Zoom Video modem, remove that entry as well under Modems.

You will also need to go into the Registry. It is important that you only delete the files requested, or else you could cause serious problems with your system. Go to Start, Run and type in “regedit”. This will bring you up to the Registry Editor, then:

- Click on the + sign next to Hkey_Local_ Machine
- Click on the + sign next to System
- Click on the + sign next to Control
- Click on the + sign next to CurrentControlSet
- Click on the + sign next to MediaResources
- Click on the + sign next to MSVideo and remove all the “rvc16.drv” listed there.
- Save and Exit

Now shut down and restart the computer, then reinstall the ZoomCam driver.
