When using the Zoom Phone Adapter, why can't I dial the number from the phone?

Verify that you are dialing the number correctly.

If you have connected a land line to your Zoom Phone Adapter: 

• If you dial normally, your calls will connect over your land line.
• To place a SkypeOut call:
• • Domestic US:  Dial ## 00 1 and then press the * (star) key 
  • International:  Dial ## 00 and then press the * (star) key 
• To place a Skype speed-dial call, dial  ## and then press the * (star) key 

If you have NOT connected a land line to your Zoom Phone Adapter:

• To place a SkypeOut call:  
• • Domestic US:  Dial 00 1 and then press the * (star) key 
  • International:  Dial 00 and then press the * (star) key 
• To place a Skype speed-dial call, dial  ## and then press the * (star) key 

Note: You must dial * to send a number to Skype, like you must press Send on a cell phone. Note that SkypeOut is a paid service from Skype™. Please see the Skype website for details. Refer to your adapter's user manual or Skype help for instructions on setting up a Skype speed-dial.
